A journey accross the Khawr al Udayd Reserve, Quatar.

A journey in the Atlas Mountains, Morocco. One of the most wonderful moments I’ve had on a shoot. Mr Brahim serves Moroccan tea at his traditional Berber home in the Atlas Mountains. The walls were cob with an open view through which birds flew in and out as we recovered from the hike up.

I love exploring. Whenever I get the chance I head to Iceland for a few days. I sleep in the car, ramble around and shoot photos. The landscape is ever changing and unworldly. One night I woke with the cold and wondered to myself, if I open my eyes will I see the aurora borealis? By some miracle as I opened my eyes and looked up through the icy window I saw a huge green ring descending through the atmosphere... for a moment I thought to grab my camera but decided to take in the moment instead. I watched the light show from the roof of the car for an hour or so feeling extremely lucky.

Photography and climbing are my two passions. Perhaps the best commission ever to combine the two on this travel story shot in Thailand.

Winter is my favourite time for exploring mountainous landscapes. The light and colours are constantly changing. A peak can appear blue in the early morning light and an hour later its a fiery orange. Shot on an adventure to Nantlle Ridge, Snowdonia National Park.

In September 2018 the writer Zack Cahill and I took the last bus of the year out to the Icelandic Highlands to trek across the 55km Laugavegur Trail. As we approached the area a storm sat ominously above the hills. It turned out to be an epic adventure.

The Milky Way. From Teide National Park, Tenerife. One of the three best spots in the world to observe the night sky and even with the naked eye it was breathtaking. During the renaissance, many historians and adventures began to identify and relate the Atlantic Islands with the remains of Atlantis and Teide with Mount Atlas, with the Canary Islands representing the highest part of the mythological sunken continent. This was a long days shoot. Driving through the cloud cover to the National Park is like flying through the clouds in an aeroplane… A different world above.. Shot for Qatar Airways in June 2018.
